This Privacy Policy explains how Lario ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website at lario.app and our AI photo-to-video generation services (the "Service").

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you sign up via Google OAuth or email, we collect your name and email address.
• Uploaded Content: Photos you upload for video generation. These are processed by our AI systems and stored temporarily.
• Payment Information: When paid plans become available, payments will be processed by Creem as merchant of record (MoR). We do not store your credit card details.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, video generation history, and interaction patterns.
• Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies:
  • Essential cookies for authentication and session management — required for the Service to function.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 (anonymous traffic and usage statistics) and Microsoft Clarity (aggregated behavior analytics including session recordings and heatmaps). These help us understand how visitors interact with Lario so we can improve the product. Clarity automatically masks form input values and sensitive content; neither service is used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can disable analytics cookies through your browser settings or browser extensions (e.g., uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger).

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the photo-to-video generation service
• To manage your account and credits
• To process payments and subscriptions
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
• To improve our AI models and service quality
• To detect and prevent abuse or fraud
• To comply with legal obligations

Data Retention

• Uploaded Photos: Automatically deleted within 24 hours after video generation is complete.
• Generated Videos: Stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted. Paid subscribers can download videos at any time within the storage window.
• Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. To delete your account, email support@lario.app. We process deletion requests within 30 days, after which account data, generated videos, and uploaded photos are removed.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Creem as merchant of record for payment processing (paid plans coming soon)
• Google for OAuth authentication
• Crisp Chat for in-website live customer support — if you use the chat widget, Crisp may receive your IP address, browser metadata, and the messages you send. See Crisp's privacy policy for details.
• AI service providers for video generation processing (provider list may change at our discretion; see Service Architecture section below)
• Cloudflare R2 for video storage and delivery
• Supabase for database hosting
• Resend for transactional emails
• Vercel for website hosting
• Google Analytics 4 for anonymous website traffic and usage analytics
• Microsoft Clarity for aggregated behavior analytics, including session recordings with automatic masking of sensitive data

These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

Service Architecture

Lario AI is an independent product that provides a custom interface for third-party AI video generation models. Lario is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the underlying model providers. We may change AI providers, model versions, or technical parameters at any time without notice, provided service quality is maintained at substantially the same level. Your uploaded content may be transmitted to and processed by these providers in accordance with their respective privacy practices.

Content Moderation

Lario operates content moderation to enforce our Content Policy and Terms of Service. When content is removed for policy violations, we retain audit records (including SHA-256 fingerprints of the violating content, the timestamp, and the moderator action) for security, compliance, and dispute resolution purposes. The violating content itself is permanently deleted from our storage; only the audit metadata is retained.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
• Regular security reviews and updates

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account by email to support@lario.app (processed within 30 days)
• Export your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

Lario is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
